Ge appoints mark Hutchinson as president of China on January 19, 2011, Shanghai General Electric (GE) today announced the appointment of mark Hutchinson as the new president and CEO of Ge China, who will report directly to Mr. John rice, vice chairman of Ge and CEO of Ge global growth market and operations. The appointment will take effect on March 1st, 2011

He is familiar with the market, understands customer needs, and has rich experience in building and maintaining a high-quality leadership team. Xia Zhicheng, 50, has worked at GE for 17 years. In recent years, he has been resident in Paris as the president of GE's international business of commercial real estate since 2005. Before his positioning was inaccurate, he was responsible for part of GE's capital market business, including leading GE's relevant departments to provide two kinds of indexes for energy infrastructure projects in Indonesia and China: document index and keyword index financing services. Xia Zhicheng has worked and lived in Australia, China, France, Japan, Britain and the United States
Xia Zhicheng was born in England. He graduated from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia
Xia Zhicheng will succeed mark norbom, 52, as president and CEO of Ge China, who will be reappointed as president and CEO of Ge Japan, a position he held between 2000 and 2003. Luo Bangmin moved to China in 2008. So far, he has worked for GE in Asia for 16 years
